How To Create Your Own Coppermine Theme How To Manually Install WordPress How To Manually Install Coppermine How To Install Coppermine Fetch How To Install CuteNews or FusionNews
Below you will find the most recent stable versions of some really great scripts (mostly in PHP). Please do be mindful of those scripts which haven't been updated in a while -- meaning that their code is old or outdated, which means they might not be compatible with the newest and future versions of PHP. All scripts with an available download have been tested and were found to all still work well, are safe for you to install and use, and above all are 100% free. I have personally used all of these scripts myself, and I'm still using them on most of my sites to this day. CuteNews
When I first started my journey into web design, CuteNews was THE blogging script/CMS, especially for fansite owners. Since then it has been updated and greatly improved -- specifically focusing on template customization, script security, and giving the admin dashboard a much needed overhaul and facelift; although a bit heavier than some of the other scripts you'll find here, having been the most recently updated of them all also makes it most compatible with newer servers. FanUpdate
FanUpdate is another blogging script similar to FusionNews and Cutenews, but with more advanced features - the option to customize each news categories differently, very easy smilies customization, extremely strong security options are the ones I love most; FanUpdate requires a MySQL database to work, but setting it up is still as easy as Cutenews and FusionNews. It's compatible with PHP 7 (via update, so you should first update the old version and the replace that with the PHP 7 update), which makes it the safest script among these. [ go back ] |
